Manuel Pellegrini is out of a job next week, but he might already be getting a new one.
According to reports in England, the Manchester City manager, who will be in charge of his last match as coach next Sunday against Swansea, is being seriously considered to be the next coach of Everton, with current boss Roberto Martínez set to leave the club this summer.
The Chilean is held in high regard within Everton’s higher-ups, who see Pellegrini as a great choice to develop the young, talented squad in place at the moment, and are willing to spend money to strengthen the team with signings that would fit Manuel’s philosophy.
Not only do Everton see Pellegrini as a great choice, but the “Charming Man” would also be very interested in taking the job. He spoke highly of Everton in the past, sees great potential in the likes of Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku (if they aren’t sold this summer), and wouldn’t need to move from his current home, which is not far from Liverpool.
So Pellegrini will leave City, but might get to manage another Blue team just a few miles away. Not too big of a change.
