Former Minister of State for Works, Chris Ogiemwonyi, has admonished members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State not to unnecessarily heat up the polity with their inciting campaign against the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led administration.
Speaking exclusively with Sunday Independent last week, the former Group Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) lampooned the PDP over its incessant allegations of corruption against the governor.
Citing the example of the recent allegation of wrongful spending against the governor on account of his recent overseas trip, Ogiemwonyi averred that the governor spent the money justifiably.
“I spent most of my active years as a civil servant, so I understand such issues. In the first instance, the trip has to do with an Edo National Convention, which is held once in a year in the United States.
