Rivers State PDP Governorship Aspirant, Barrister Nyesom Wike has stated that the reason why some leaders disregard their constituents is because they have no contract with the people during the electioneering process.
He noted that aspirants who are not campaigning are taking the people and PDP delegates for granted by erroneously thinking that they would emerge through external endorsements.
Barrister Wike spoke at Ahoada West on Saturday during his meet the PDP delegates tour of the area.
He advised the people not to waste their votes on aspirants who lack the capacity and have not made themselves available for discussion and developmental negotiation.
He said: “Those who are making noise are just coming, they nothing about the feelings of the people and what they have passed through. They have not engaged in any political engagement.
“If you are popular, come and stand election. This election, nobody will dash governorship to any person. This election, I will run the primary and win and I will run the general election.
“Anyone who is threatening violence does not love the President. However, we are ground, and all these threats will not move us. We are with the people to lead PDP to victory.”
He urged the people of the state to collect their permanent voter card to vote President Jonathan and himself in 2015.
Leader of Ahoada West PDP, Mr Hope Ikiriko assured the governorship aspirant that the people of the area would support him during the primary and general election.
