The former Jigawa state chief of staff to governor Sule Lamido, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has emerge the PDP gubernatorial candidate after the party primary between him and Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu who requested to withdraw in absentia.
Shortly before the commencement of the primary election at the party headquarters in Dutse the state capp of the governorship aspirants Arch Aminu Kane met the party leadership and formerly announce his decision to step down for Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, while Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu also decided to step down but his request was rejected because he did not come in person.
The chairman electoral panel, Alhaji Kaulaha Aliyu rejected the request and announce that the contest will be between Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim and Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu and ordered the 1025 delegates to vote between two aspirants.
At the end if the party primaries which was help orderly and peacefully, Alhaji Aminu Ringim emerge as Jigawa state PDP gubernatorial candidate, announcing the result, the chairman electoral panel said Alhaji Ringim won with 1020 votes out of the 1025 votes, 6 votes were invalid while his opponent Alhaji Abba Anas Adamu did not get any vote.
Alhaji Kaulaha congratulated the winner of the election and party delegates as well as party members whose conduct according to him, made the election free and fair in the state.
