Men of the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, have arrested nine suspects and recovered arms in connection with the recent disturbance in Ijoko, Ado Odo local government area of the state over Obaship tussle. A statement yesterday by the spokesperson of the command, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the command arrested the suspects in their bid to unravel those behind the crisis that engulfed the town, recently.
“Following the recent crises that rocked Ijoko Otta town in Ado Odo Otta Local Government Area of Ogun State, the Ogun State police command has embarked on proper investigation by pouncing on the perpetrators of the crises that lasted for days and arrested nine suspects with arms and ammunition.”
“It would be recalled that some suspected hoodlums had been on rampage in Ijoko Otta area of Ogun State In connection with the lingering Onijoko Obaship crises and set ablaze, some houses while several people were injured,” the statement reads in part.
