A 28-year old kidnapping kingpin has been caught and paraded by officers of the Department of State Security in Owerri, Imo state.Nigerian_SSS.
The kingpin popularly know as ‘Vampire’ and his team of despara does have been terrorizing the people of Owerri for months.
According to reports, he was apprehended by the operatives of DSS when luck ran out on him as he was trying to kidnap a tribunal Judge lodged at Disney Hotels, along Onitsha – Owerri Road.
The security men, acting on a tip-off, swooped in while about to commit the crime, but he managed to escape but not with bullet.
It was the wounds that finally exposed him as was caught when he had gone to treat it in the house of his elder brother.
He was arrested alongside the brother’s wife and her mother, who were helping in the treatment.
“Vampire” told the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, when he was paraded before newsmen, that he operates in many parts of Nigeria, Cotonou and Abijan, where his family lives.
The reports indicated that Vampire’s wife hails from Cameroun and that he had made her believe he is into clothing business.
He confessed to many high profile kidnappings and assassination of the victims, when they prove stubborn.
Part of the exhibits found with him include; large sum of Ivorian currency, Some AK 47 rifles and pistols. He was arrested alongside Hakeem Bello from Kwara state, Alexander Ohigide his native doctor and treasurer.
