Kaduna Electric said it will launch 50,000 units of smart meters next Monday while assuring that it will provide meters to all customers who have paid.
Abdazeez Abdullahi, the Head of Corporate Communication, said the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola and Sokoto state Governor, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal will launch the meters in Sokoto.
However, the monthly power sector meeting will also be holding in the state same day.
Abdullahi said customers to be provided with the smart meters under this first batch have been identified for installation after the launch across its operational states of Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi.
