The House of Representatives has disclosed that it has received the report of the National Conference and will start considering it next week.
Chairman of the House committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon Zakari Mohammed made this disclosure while briefing journalist yesterday.
The spokesman of the House said the lawmakers intend to act fast on the recommendations, saying “the report has been sent to us by the presidency and we a studying it”.
“I can assure you of one thing that anytime from next week we will start considering the compressed version sent to us”, he added.
“We are here to make good laws that will better our constituents and PIB is one of such laws that will unbundle the oil industry and provide jobs for Nigerians”.
Mohammed also gave the assurance that they will consider all pending bills before their assembly’s tenure elapses, stating, “this House will touch all bills that has passed third reading and make sure they do not spill over to the 8th Assembly”.
