AS Nigeria celebrates 54th independence anniversary, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on Nigerians to brace up to the challenges ahead and unite to build a virile nation that will be the pride of all.
ACF, in a statement by its national publicity secretary, Muhammad Ibrahim, said Nigerians should strive for a country where respect for the rule of law, human dignity and principles of democracy would reign supreme.
The forum said Nigeria had the potential to be one of the biggest economy in the world with the right leadership and, therefore, urged eligible Nigerians to participate in the imminent 2015 general election, by ensuring they voted for competent and credible candidates of their choice.
It wished Nigerians at home and in the diaspora a happy Independence anniversary.
