Governor Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu has declared himself winner of the Imo State All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary.
Nwosu announced himself winner even though the National Working Committee of the APC had on Tuesday suspended the governorship primary in Imo State indefinitely.
Speaking through his official twitter handle, Nwosu claimed the primary election was held and concluded in the state and that he emerged the winner with 455,655 votes. He claimed Senator Hope Uzodinma got 9,159 votes while Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Madumere pulled 5,067 votes.
He also posted a statement allegedly issued by the 2018 Imo State Governorship Primary Committee, affirming his victory.
The signature of Ahmed Gulak, chairman of the APC electoral committee, is not on the statement to prove that the former Imo Chief of Staff truly won the primary.
