A governorship aspirant in Benue State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, James Mbachiantim Manger, has said he will unite the state and bring the desired development the people are yearning for if given the mandate.
Manger said that because he has no political enemies or political friends, his neutrality will help him in achieving this, adding that his project is anchored on four key sectors of Agriculture, Health Care, Education and Industrial Development.
Manger was speaking during his consultations with the people of Agatu and Apa Local government Areas at Ugboukpo, as part of his wider campaign outings to the Zone C Senatorial District of Benue State.
He said the governorship race is open to candidates in the three Senatorial Districts, and that his desire to run was not just because he is from MINDA, but because he is the most qualified among the candidates.
During their separate speeches, PDP chairman in Agatu, Abdullahi Shitu Ogah, and that of Apa, Owucho Ale, acknowledged that Manger was not new to them, having identified with them in times of need by donating relief materials to them during the Fulani invasion.
They promised to reciprocate his kind gesture by supporting him in the party primaries and mobilising their people to vote for him in next year’s election.
The team continues its Zone C consultations today in Obi and Oju Local Government Areas.
