Chelsea fans can sometimes be a silly lot. Even before Eden Hazard had actually signed for the club, some were worried about him leaving for the likes of Real Madrid. And I suspect that it’s this bizarre desire to see Hazard as some sort of mega-mercenary that’s allowed the constant fear that he’ll bolt for pastures new to fester like it has. Admittedly, he hasn’t helped matters, but that’s probably ascribable to his innate love of winding everyone up rather than any attempt to run away to Paris.
And anyway, now he’s said this:

Which means we can breathe deep, and relax. But wait! What if he just means he’s going to Real Madrid instead? Or what if he’s lying?! Panic*!
