LAGOS—A professional arm of the All Progressives Congress, APC, The Salvage Group, TSG, has berated President Goodluck Jonathan over his alleged failure to fulfil one of his 2010 campaign promises to give Nigerians at least 16,000 megawatts of electricity within two years in office.
In a statement by its National Coordinator, Peter Ajayi, the group said that Jonathan, having allegedly failed to achieve 16,000 megawatts of power within the two terms he has been sworn in as President, and is seeking for another term in 2015 is as good as taking Nigerians for a ride.
Ajayi who is a chairmanship aspirant for the Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, said: “President Goodluck Jonathan during his campaign in 2010, promised Nigerians a steady electricity supply if voted into office. He promised 16,000 megawatt in the first two years of his administration.”
