Gov. Tanko Al-makura Picks Silas Agara As Running Mate

Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has picked Hon. Silas Agara as his running mate in the forthcoming general elections. Announcing his choice in a press statement signed by Yakubu Lamai, chief press secretary, he said Agara’s choice was a product of wide consultations with party and community leaders intent upon adding value to governance in the state.
“After wide ranging consultations with citizens and political stakeholders in Nasarawa State and in tandem with the inclusive attitude of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura and the democratic culture of the APC, Hon. Silas Agara was chosen as his running mate and deputy governor in the forthcoming 2015 governorship elections.”
“He understands the unwavering commitment of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to institute a government of transparency, rapid development, financial probity and discipline and provide a voice for the voiceless in Nasarawa State.” the statement said.
