Former Best Football Player in the World Ronaldinho has offered his tip for the next Best Football Player in the World once the current Best Football Player in the World retires.
The Barcelona legend has said he believes fledgling Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus can take up the mantle once Lionel Messi hangs up his boots – despite the fact his fellow Brazilian is still only 19 years old.
Still, he’s made a big impact at City since his £27million last summer, scoring three goals in his first five appearances and dislodging Sergio Aguero from the side – something many people would consider a miracle in its own right – before succumbing to a pesky metatarsal injury
“Manchester City have a very special player with Gabriel Jesus. Maybe even, in the future, the best player in the world,” said Ronaldinho, which is sure to help keep the young player’s feet on the ground.
“At the moment it is Messi. I have always said I think one day it will be Neymar. But at 19, in the future, it can be Gabriel. He has all the abilities to make that happen.”
