Nigerians be facing a grueling period of fuel scarcity again, if urgent actions are not taken to get members of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers to withdraw services from Lagos effective Monday August 10.
The leaders of NUPENG have ordered petroleum tanker drivers to withdraw their service, according to a communique by the union on Friday.
Their main grouses are the extortion, intimidation and harassment of their members who carrying out their legitimate duties in Lagos State.
The statement titled “NUPENG leadership directs withdrawal of services by petroleum tanker drivers in Lagos State with effect from Monday, August 10, 2020”, was signed by National President Williams Akporeha and General Secretary, Olawale Afolabi.
