Shocking news greed football fans Saturday when the news of the death of a former Super Eagles defender, Romanus Orjinta, broke.
Orjinta, who played 13 times for Super Eagles, plied his trade with Enyimba FC.
He was found dead in his Enugu, Enugu State home on New Year eve.
His body was said to have been discovered by neighbours who became curious after the 33-year-old defender was not seen in the public for several days.
Orjinta won the CAF Champions League with Enyimba in 2003.
Apart from a short stint in Norway, Orjinta also played for several Nigerian clubs, including Heartland and Niger Tornadoes.
