Former Sokoto State governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress, reports Western Post..
In a report tweeted by its publisher Tunde Rahman, the newspaper reports that Bafarawa, one of the aspirants that vied for the presidential ticket of the PDP at the recently concluded National Convention of the party in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, may be heading back to the ruling APC which he also co-founded along with others but left early in its creation.
Bafarawa polled 28 votes, losing to the eventual winner, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar at the PDP PH convention..
The return of Bafarawa to the APC, , would mean a reunion between him and his ertswhile deputy and former governor of the same Sokoto State, Alhaji Aiyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
It will further put pressure on the governor of the state, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, who left the APC for PDP and also recently lost the PDP presidential ticket to Atiku.
