The multi-storey Katangora House in the highbrow Marina Lagos was torched by fire Wednesday morning.
The fire outbreak in building which houses several corporate started at about 8:30am on Wednesday.
According to reports, the fire service men did not get to the scene until about 9.30 am.
It was learnt that thait took the combined effort Lagos State Fire Service, Nigeria Ports Authority, Julius Berger, Federal Fire Service, Lagos Fire Service and UBA fire service, to quench the fire.
It was suspected that the fire which affected third and fourth floors was caused by power surge.
The Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr Femi Giwa, was quoted as saying that there was no loss of life but properties worth millions of naira had been destroyed in the inferno.
