Special adviser to Lagos State Governor on Information and Strategy, Lateef Raji, on Sunday lost in his bid to become the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Oshodi- Isolo Federal Constituency.
The lawmaker currently representing the constituency in the National Assembly, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai also lost in an an election that was described as free and fair by the party chairman for Oshodi-Isolo, Olamide Kasali.
“We had a very peaceful primary exercise today. The choice of the people emerged as the candidate of the party, that is Timothy Olumuyiwa Olabimtan, who scored 83 votes. The Special Adviser to the governor on Information scored 64 votes.
“Bashiru Dawodu came third with 31 votes. The incumbent lawmaker, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, had 20 votes, Akin Akinyemi got 10 votes while the former council chairman of Oshodi-Isolo, Afeez Ipesa- Balogun, got 0 vote,” he said.
