The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II has called on Kano residents to expose criminals in order to save the state against insurgency and other related criminal acts.
The emir made the call yesterday after the Eid prayer held at Kofar-Kwaru.
He said exposing criminals to the relevant authorities will help address the ongoing insurgency, which claimed innocent lives particularly in the state recently and the whole northern part of the country.
During the last Sallah, dozens of people were killed by the insurgents in Kano.
The emir also called on his Kano people to continue enrolling their children in both Islamic and western school, emphasizing on girl education, as according to him, “educating women is like educating the whole nation.”
He at the same time advised parents to make sure they vaccinate their wards against polio, adding “thanks to almighty Allah who saved us from Ebola.”
The emir also prayed for the late emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero and the Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Tijjani Hashim.
