Minister of State for Education, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has called on the people of Rivers State to vote en-masse for President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 and also ensure that the PDP wins the governorship and National Assembly seats in the 2015 elections.
The leading governorship aspirant of the PDP and leader of the party in Rivers State urged all party faithful to ensure that they collect their permanent voters cards to place Rivers State in the pedestal to contribute the highest number of votes for President Goodluck Jonathan and all PDP candidates in the 2015 elections.
The Minister of State who spoke at Aluu noted that party members should be committed to the growth of the PDP, pointing out that Rivers State has never been in the opposition and will never join the opposition.
Barrister Wike noted that the Jonathan administration has invested tremendously in the development of Rivers State in the areas of education, Sure-P, roads, aviation, youth and women empowerment and appointment of sons and daughters of Rivers State in key positions.
He said: “We shall continue to stand by President Goodluck Jonathan because he is our son and in-law. He has done so much for Rivers State and we shall always support him. Ensure that you get your permanent voters card so that we in Rivers State we come tops in voting for the President Jonathan and all other PDP candidates in 2015. Rivers State has never been in the opposition and it cannot be in the opposition in 2015”.
