Governor Ayodele Fayose has approved the appointment of a new Vice Chancellor for Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. Professor Samuel is the new VC, having been recommended by the governing council of the university.
In a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi, in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, Professor Bandele came first out of the three candidates who were interviewed for the job.
The appointment takes effect from December 2, 2015, as the tenure of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor Professor Oladipo Aina expires on December 1.
While congratulating the new Vice Chancellor for coming first in the interview and being appointed for the job, Governor Fayose urged him to improve on the good work of the outgoing VC and take the university to a lofty height.
