Ekiti State could easily be said that it is known for producing new trends in political gimmicks aimed at winning the heart of the electorates. Before now the opposition party came up with the tag of “stomach infrastructure” when it became obvious they have lost the election to the PDP candidate, Ayo Fayose.
Today, the party is re-inventing similar trend if news emanating from the state is anything to go bye. This time around it is fuel infrastructure.
Former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC , Hon. Femi Bamisile weekend flagged off free petrol distribution to commercial motorcycle operators.
He claimed it was part of the efforts to bail them out of the present economic hardship.
Flagging off the programme in Ado Ekiti at Reference Point Petrol Station in Adebayo , Bamisile said the measure is in compliance with the cardinal objectives of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, which places high premium on the poor masses.
No fewer than 200 motorcyclists, popularly called Okada riders benefited from the gesture, which was part of the mobilization
drives towards the 2018 governorship poll.
