Edo State Deputy Governor, Pius Odubu, has charged Nigerians to be vigilant and watch out for the antics of the Boko Haram insurgents.
He spoke while playing host to the state’s Muslim community, who paid a courtesy visit to the Government House in commemoration of the Eid-el Kabir celebration.
Odubu charged that the insurgents should be prevented “from recruiting and radicalising our young ones, through misrepresentation of the teachings of the Holy Koran.”
He affirmed that the state government will continue to do all that is required to protect everyone living in the state from diseases, as well as threat to life and property, especially insurgency.
The deputy governor solicited the support of the people through prayers, wise counsel and dedication to their works to lighten the burden of making the state great.
“Report all suspicious activities around you to the security agencies and any increased body temperature to relevant health authorities,” he submitted.
