Nigeria has now recorded 38 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, April 20, 2020 bringing it 665 cases in Nigeria.
Remarkable is the rate of rise in the number of cases in Kano, which appears to be heading to be the new epicenter of the virus in the country. Until last week, Kano had no single case of the dreaded virus
Noteworthy also is that fact that no case was recorded in Lagos, which account for more than half of the country’s total number of cases
However, no new deaths were reported.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, 23 of the new cases were recorded in Kano, in 5 in Gombe, 3 in Kaduna, 2 in Borno, 2 in Abia, 1 each in FCT, Sokoto and Ekiti states
