The Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi, Benue State on Saturday cancelled the election of the immediate President of the Senate, David Mark, into the Senate.
The court, in a verdict on suit brought before it by Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress on Saturday, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a fresh election into the Benue South Senatorial District seat.
By the verdict, Mark who run on the ticket of the People, will have to re-submit himself for another electoral battle with Onjeh.
Reacting to the development, Onjeh said: “Hurray!
“Thank God I have been vindicated.”
