Cool Sasha Obama wore sneakers to Homecoming

Sasha Obama may be the youngest daughter of this nation’s president, but more importantly, she’s a Cool Teen. Before heading out to homecoming, the 14-year-old posed with her plus-one in front of a piano, a classic school dance picture backdrop. To celebrate the American pastime, Sasha wore a burgundy dress, paired with an advanced level Cool Teen staple: K-Swiss sneakers. While plenty of teenagers would beg a parent for a high heel or elevated shoe to attend homecoming, Sasha did her own feet a favor by wearing comfortable kicks.

The cousin of Sasha’s date tweeted the photo collage before it went viral, briefly sparking a Twitter argument over whether or not they’re fake Adidas(they’re not). She wrote, “Tonight my little cousin took Sasha Obama to homecoming. My baby’s all grooooooown.” The account has been made private since, but not even the Secret Service can hide a photo once it’s caught fire on the web.
