Rivers State PDP Governorship Aspirant, has called on the people of Rivers State to troop out in their numbers as from November 28 to collect their voters cards as a prelude to voting PDP in 2015.
Speaking during his “meet the PDP Delegates Tour” of Asari Toru LGA on Tuesday, Barrister Wike described the permanent voters cards as the weapon to vote out the outgoing administration and her associates.
He noted that the liberation struggle of Rivers people can only be actualized when the people collect their cards.
Wike informed the people of the numerous antics of the opposition APC to deny them of their cards, saying the people must be vigilant during the collection period and continuous voter registration.
He said: “We have worked hard to sustain the PDP. We have another step ahead. Everyone should collect his permanent voter card and those just clocking 18 should come out and register.
“All Rivers State indigenes and residents should be vigilant and watch out because of the antics of the APC. We must not allow them to subvert the will of the people”.
The frontline governorship aspirant further urged the Asari Toru people to continue to support President Jonathan for reelection.
He said that he is in the governorship race redefine development in Rivers State, pointing out that Asari Toru people will form an integral part. Of the New Rivers Vision.
He thanked the people for their endorsement and said he will not disappoint them.
Jerry Amachree, Asari Toru PDP chairman said that the PDP delegates in the area have resolved to vote Barrister Wike during the governorship primary on December 8.
A community leader, Comrade George Kelly said that the people of the area launched the WWW, Wike Will Win project to drive fruitful conclusion.
Also speaking, former Asari Toru Local Government chairman, Mr Okpakirite Jackcreece assured the governorship aspirant of the support and vote of the people.
Former Rivers House of Assembly member, Mrs Daisy West said all across Kalabari land, the people have decided to work for Barrister Wike.
The aspirant launched his New Rivers Campaign Office at Buguma City.
