The Chairman of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Mr. Borna Onu, has been impeached by the council members over allegations of gross misconduct.
Onu is a protege of Senator Ayogu, the gubernatorial aspirant in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who is battling the declaration of Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the gubernatorial flag-bearer of the party in the state.
Onu was indicted for inflation of contracts and other acts of gross misconduct by a panel of investigation and the council members voted to remove him.
