Buhari’s call forElection is usually a time for denials and half truths. Politicians especially of the Nigerian breed are schooled in the acts of equivocation, prevarication, and outright lies.
Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammud Buhari, is supposed to different or claims to be so. Why? Because he is running for the presidency largely on the plank of integrity.
But the Duara-born former general appears to be struggling when it comes to maintaining the high expectations of his avowal. A really honourable man stands by his words and actions no matter whose is gored. But for Buhari the integrity mantra holds just as long as it feeds into its goal of using it to political advantage.
In 2011, he openly called his supporters to lynch whoever they perceived to as trying to stop them from ensuring that their votes country. That sounds like a open in invitation to anarchy And of a truths anarchy was let loose by by Buhari supporters in the North shortly after the election result of that year was announced. This was an election adjudged to be best election conducted in the country since the aborted election of 1993.

This is the direct translation of what he said : – Ku fita ku yi zabe. Ku Kasa, ku tsare, ku raka ku tsaya. Duk wanda bai yarda ba, ku halaka shi. The English translation reads: “Firstly, you must register, come out and vote. You guard, protect, escort to the collation centre and you wait until the result is counted. Anyone who stops you, kill them!!! (Crowd chants wildly.)” Buhari insists in this video that what he said was if they stop don’t allow.

The reality is that pictures do not lie. In the video which was released by his campaign he was demonstrating to the crowd how they should use their arrows and other killer weapons if such event. And they eventually did. Several hundreds of lives were lost eventually.
It is difficult to believe that Buhari did not know the implication of his call. It is rather easier to believe that he attaches no much to human lives.
