The Spanish manager might not coach the team on December 30th, according to Cadena SER and COPE.
Benítez’s days as Real Madrid’s manager appear to be numbered. According to reports from Cadena SER, El Chiringuito and COPE, the Spanish coach will not be managing Real Madrid when Los Blancos host Real Sociedad on December 30th.
The reports indicate that Benítez’s relationship with his players is not good enough to keep him as the manager, so a replacement shall be named soon.
José Mourinho and Zinedine Zidane might be the only potential candidates to replace Benítez. Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea just a few days back and his feelings towards some Real players like Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo or Pepe could make his return to the Spanish capital a bit difficult. On the other hand, Zidane might not be ready to coach Real’s first team just yet, but that’s not a big deal if the players can’t stand Benítez anymore as these reports suggest.
