More than `1-0 persons are feared dead in a fire outbreak in Second Coming gas plant in Magodo area of Lagos State.
Initial report put the confirmed casualties at two, but report monitored in Channels Television said that unconfirmed report had given the death toll as 10, with concerns that more persons may still be trapped in the inferno.
According to reports, the incident was triggered by a spark in a car which lighted the gas in a truck offloading the highly inflammable product at the facility. The truck was leaking.
Pictures in Channels Tv showed men of the fire service battling to quench the inferno.
While the immediate cause of the inferno remains unknown as at press time, the fire is said to have spread to other properties in the neighbourhood, injuring many.
