Several people have been reportedly killed by Boko Haram insurgents who attacked a predominantly Christian community of Sabon Gari on the border of Borno and Adamawa state.

Sahara Reporters, a digital newspaper, reports that residents fleeing the affected communities informed that the insurgents arrived their villages Sunday morning and slaughtered several people as they were heading to church.
Though details of the tragic incident were still sketchy, reports further indicate that Mubi, the second biggest in Adamawa state, had fallen into the hands of the militants.
The Islamist group Boko Haram is believed to have killed over 10 ,000 people from terror attacks across Nigeria especially northern Nigeria.
Nigerian troops are said to have upped attacks aimed at dislodging the insurgents as the ceasefire allegedly entered between the Federal Government and the Boko Haram Islamist group appears to have crashed.
