The Arsenal board have begun discussions about potentially replacing Unai Emery, according to reports.
Gunners supporters have lost their patience with the former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain boss after just one win in eight matches.
The home crowd made their feelings clear at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday after yet another below-par performance.
According to the Daily Mail, the Arsenal board have now started the process of looking at replacements for Emery.
However, he is not the only manager being discussed.
Max Allegri also has admirers amongst the hierarchy, after parting company with Juventus in the summer.
His name has been linked with the Napoli job this weekend, with pressure continuing to build on Carlo Ancelotti.
Arsenal are aware that it would prove difficult to lure top managers in the middle of a campaign.
Therefore they have a plan in place, Freddie Ljungberg and Steve Bould could be given the chance to takeover until the end of the season.
The club would ideally not like to make such a big decision midway through the season.
Yet if results continue in this manner, they will be left with no other option.
Arsenal return to action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday in the Europa League.
