Rivers State PDP Governorship Aspirant, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has described the death of the General Overseer of Greater Evangelism World Crusade Ministries, Apostle Geofrey Numbere as a setback for Rivers State and her people.
Barrister Wike spoke at the Port Harcourt residence of late Apostle Numbere when he paid a condolence visit to the family and the church.
The former Minister of State for Education said that the death of the cleric touched all people of the state because of his disposition to peace and development.
Wike said that the late cleric always prayed for peace and reconciliation in the state, pointing out that he was not a political preacher.
He urged the family and Rivers State people to take solace in the fact that Apostle Numbere lived a good life and his legacies would stand the test of time.
Responding, widow of Apostle Numbere, Nonye said that the late cleric had premonition of his death, hence he prepared himself, family and church for his passing away.
She thanked the governorship aspirant for the visit, saying that the Church and family are consoled by the legacies of the late cleric.
