The who is who in politics from the northern region under the umbrella of the All Progresives Congress (APC) are currently meeting in Kaduna to strategise and take necessary resolutions that will help the party in the forthcoming 2015 general elections.
The presidential aspirants including Leadership Founder, Sam Nda Isaiah, former vice President Atiku Abubakar and General Buhari are among those who arrived the venue of the meeting early.
Governorship aspirants under the party from the north are also in attendance, while others seeking election into the national and state assemblies are also on ground.
According to the programme of the meeting, messages are expected from Governors of Borno, Kano, Kwara, Sokoto, Yobe and Zamfara states.
Key stakeholders like General Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Atiku, Senate minority leader and Deputy minority leader of house of representatives are also expected to give messages.
Goodwill messages are also expected from the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), the Middle Belt forum, Northern Elders Forum (NEF) and the Arewa Research Development Project (ARDP).
Leadership, however, gathered that major decision as to the possibility of presenting a consensus presidential candidate may dominate discussions.
Governors of Zamfara, Kano, Yobe and Borno states were among the distinguished personalities in attendance.
A communiqué is expected to be issued at the end of the meeting.
