Angry reactions yesterday trailed the poor rating of Bayelsa State governor,Hon. Seriake Dickson, on the conduct of the state and National Assembly primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa West senatorial district of the state.
The chief press secretary to the governor,Mr.Daniel Markson-Iworiso, former state chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties(CNPP),Hon.Sunday Frank-Oputu and a group known as Ofoni Democratic Youth Forum, led by Mr.Francis Adjerebe, said the rating of the state governor by an aide to the former governor,Chief Timipre Sylva, is deceitful, criminal and not representing the opinion of the people of the state.
While Dickson, through Markson-Iworison, debunked the claim that the aide to Timipre Sylva was ever appointed by Governor Dickson as a special adviser, the group, Ofoni Democratic Youth Forum said the rating of the former political appointee does not represent the true outcome of the primaries in Bayelsa West senatorial district.
Spokesman of the group, Francis Adjerebe, said in a press statement yesterday that the PDP primaries conducted in the Bayelsa West senatorial district that produced Deacon Foster Oguola as the senatorial candidate of the Party is the true reflection of the votes of the delegates from the district.
