Chief Tony Anenih, the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday called on stakeholders in Kebbi to settle their disputes in the interest of the party.
Anenih made the call while addressing party leaders, members of the National Assembly and stakeholders in Birnin Kebbi.
He appealed to them to ensure that their differences were resolved amicably.
“The relationship between party members and political office aspirants was similar to the relationship between the tongue and the teeth.
“We at times disagree and we must strive to agree for common interest,’’ he said.
The chairman said the board would have a closed door meeting with party leaders, state governor and governorship aspirants to reach a common agreement.
Anenih, who did not disclose the nature of the disputes, said the PDP must win future elections in the state in a peaceful atmosphere. (NAN)
