Rivers State PDP Governorship Aspirant, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that outgoing Governor Chibuike Amaechi will not be allowed to rig the forthcoming general elections in the state.
The governorship aspirant who spoke during his meet the PDP delegates tour of Emohua Local Government Area on Friday said that the PDP is closely monitoring the outgoing governor and he will not be allowed to subvert the will of the people.
He said: “The PDP is on the way to total victory in Rivers State and the outgoing governor will not be allowed to subvert the will of the people.
“For us, it will be one man, one vote and one woman, one vote. We will win all the forthcoming elections in Rivers State”.
He urged all Emohua LGA PDP delegates to vote for him during the governorship primary, saying that he has developed a framework to develop to defeat the APC in the state.
Barrister Wike also called on the PDP delegates and members in the area to continue to support President Jonathan’s reelection, as he has performed to the advantage of the people.
In his address, Emohua LGA PDP chairman, Mr Vincent Orji assured Barrister Wike of the delegate votes during the governorship primary.
Emohua PDP Chieftain, Chief Sergeant Awuse said that the decision to vote Wike was taken because of the poor performance of Amaechi.
He said that Wike’s leadership of Rivers State has been ordained by God for the liberation of the long suffering people of the state.
Also speaking, former Emohua LGA Chairman, Engr Emeka Woke said that the people of the area stood by Wike and President Jonathan to enhance the development of the state and Nigeria.
Highpoint of the visit to Emohua LGA was the traditional endorsement of Barrister Wike by the paramount rulers of Emohua LGA.
