Church and mosque members who were gearing up for reopening of their centres this week should kill the thought.
The reopening has been put on hold, acording to the Lagos State Government.
The State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has cancelled the planned reopening.
His reason: the resurgence of COVID-19 cases following the easing of the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus Disease.
The State Government had last week said mosques and churches could open from June 19 and 21 respectively.
Sanwo-Olu, at news briefing on Tuesday said the decision had been rescinded.
He said this followed the rising cases of COVID-19 in the state.
Nigeria has seen fast uptick in the number of coronavirus cases in recent days with figure which was less a thousand before the initial lockdown rising speedily to over 16,000 cases of infections in the country as at Monday.
