President Muhammadu Buhari, has sent the name of Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem to the Senate for confirmation as President, Court of Appeal.
Dogban-Mensem has been acting in that capacity before President Buhari in exercise of his constitutional power decided to confirm her in that capacity.
Justice Dongban-Mensem is a serving Justice of the Court of Appeal and was recommended, as is the practice, by the National Judicial Council for the nomination by the President, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity, Garuba Shehu, said in a statement on Monday.
The nomination of Justice Dongban-Mensem came twenty-four hours after the Presidency said that President Buhari will not be stamped in performing his constitutional duties.
Recently, a respected former military Governor Dangiwa Umar warned the the President was sowing evil seed of division by concentrating major appointments in the North.
