Thibaut Courtois, the club’s no one safe hands, is feared to remain out for about two months. That mean that Asmir Begovic has to come to duty.

A report by the platform’s David Pasztor reads, “I have all the confidence in the world in Asmir Begovic, but I have even more confidence, if such a thing is possible, in Thibaut Courtois. And now, if the Daily Mail’s Neil Ashton is correct, we might be without one of the world’s best goalkeepers for an extended period of time.
Jose Mourinho has suffered another major setback after it emerged keeper Thibaut Courtois is expected to be out for at least two months after suffering a serious knee injury.
Chelsea doctors were attempting to assess the full extent of the issue and although substantial swelling was preventing them from making an exact diagnosis, Courtois has already been warned he faces an extended spell on the sidelines.
Chelsea’s initial fears that Courtois had suffered cruciate-ligament damage are believed to have been dismissed, but the 23-year-old Belgian international has been ruled out of Saturday’s trip to Everton.

While it is true that this still has not been officially confirmed — all eyes on Mourinho’s press conference coming up soon — the initial rumors have escalated from Courtois missing maybe a match or two, to spending months on the sidelines. At least two months. At least! Not good. Not good at all.”
According to the report, some reports are going as far as claiming up to 4 months missed, even.
If Courtois is indeed to miss (most of) the first half of the season, new signing Asmir Begovic will be called upon in just about every match, with third-string Jamal Blackmanperhaps getting a game or two in the League Cup or maybe in a meaningless Champions League group stage encounter. While Begovic is quality, this is hardly an ideal situation. Chelsea U21 keeper Mitchell Beeney would no doubt get called up to serve as the third goalkeeper then, which would also leave the youth teams a bit shorthanded.
