The immediate past Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi is dead. He is aged 70.
Ajimobi who had been at the intensive care unit at First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos, since last week, died of complications arising from coronavirus infection.
He passed away on Thursday, after several days of rumours about his death.
Although there has been no official announcement from Oyo State Government or his family, the news of his death has flooded the social media.
