President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana on has called President Muhammadu Buhari to apologise to the government and people of Nigeria for demolition of a building on the premises of Nigerian High Commission in Accra, Ghana.
Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said in that the Ghanaian leader had in the telephone call, told President Buhari that he had directed full investigation into the incident.
Nigerians unhappy about the news that an unidentified armed man had on Friday in Accra, demolished some apartments under construction in the Nigerian embassy in Ghana’s capital.
The building was being constructed to house staff and visiting diplomats to the High Commission.
Both the Nigerian and Ghanaian governments had condemned the attack.
The Rainbow learnt that some suspects involved in the demolition have been arrested and will be arraigned in court
