It was a lucky Saturday for passengers of Overland airline flight which overshot the run-way with no casualty.
The flight 1186, an ATR 72 aircraft with 59 passengers and four (4) crew members on board, veered off the runway at low speed after a normal landing at the Ilorin Airport, it was learnt.
The aircraft with registration number 5N-BPG flee from Abuja airport to Ilorin.
The General Manager, Public Affairs, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA , Mr Fan Ndubuoke, said in a statement that the incident recorded no casualty.
But he noted that the Accident and Prevention Bureau in conjunction with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.
Ndubuoke reassured Nigerians that safety of the traveling public still remained paramount and cannot be compromised.
