The syndrome of examination failure in Nigeria has not abated, even among the would-be learned colleagues.
This development was made available to newsmen by the Council of Legal Education which disclosed that out of a total of 3, 056 candidates that participated in the April 2016 Bar final examination, 720 of them failed.
The Council, through a statement that was signed by the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Mr. O. A. Onadeko, said the result reflected 23.6 per cent failure.
However, a further breakdown of the result showed that whereas a total of 2, 232 of the candidates passed the Bar final resit examination, representing 73.0 per cent, 104 candidates secured conditional pass representing 3.4 per cent.
According to the statement, call to Bar ceremonies for the successful candidates is scheduled to hold on July 12 in Abuja.
