Twenty-two foreign registered privately operated aircraft have clearance from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s (NCAA) to continue operations in Nigeria.
Minister of Aviation Osita Chidoka had threatened to ground those foreign operators without domestic operation certification.
NCcA in a statement to the media said tha the 22 foreign aircraft had received its Flight Operations Clearance Certificate (FOCC) and Maintenance Clearance Certificate (MCC).
.The operators of the registered aircraft only authorised to operate within Nigeria strictly for Private Operation Only and Not for Hire or Reward (Not For Commercial Purpose) according to Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) 8.2.1.9.
Chidoka had said that those engaged in commercial activities should seek appropriate approvals.
According to NCCA, the successful operators are: Air First,ANAP Business Jets,ATT Aviation Support Ltd.,AVJET Corporation, BUA Group Limited,Chrome Air, Delmon Aviation./C&K, Dominion Air,EAN Aviation Limited,Executive Jets, Ferry Aviation Dev. Serv.,Gitto Construzioni, Grenfact Ventures Ltd,Gyro Air limited, NAMCO Nig. Limited, Orlean Invest West Africa Prime Air, Project Eagle Air Ltd, Southern Air, SWAT Technology Ltd, Tag Aviation Ltd and Toucan Aviation Support.
The use of these Operators’ aircraft for Commercial Operations, according to NCAA, would be in violation of the NCARs 9.1.1.4(a)(b) and would attract appropriate sanctions by the Authority.
