Leader of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi yesterday urged Nigerians to critically examine the manifesto of those seeking elective offices to determine their suitability or otherwise for election in 2015.
Kumuyi, spoke with newsmen shortly after arriving in Ilorin, Kwara State for the take-off of a three-day crusade by his ministry at Eyenkorin, on the outskirt of the state capital.
The cleric described as ‘mere speculations’, insinuations about the possible break-up of Nigeria after the elections.
He asked Nigerians to separate pronouncements from prophecies about the future of the country.
Kumuyi said in 2015 Nigerians must put hands together to elect people who will do the will of the majority while those who eventually get elected must understand that they come into office for the good of the people.
He described his visit to the north central state as beyond religion and ethnicity, saying he was sure God loves the people of Kwara and had seen what they might be passing through either as individuals or groups and was ready to bring his supernatural power to intervene in their affairs.
He added, “Let there be enlightenment; let the media tell us this is where Nigeria ought to be. For instance, we all want an economically stable Nigeria, we all want security so let everyone become conscious of that and let all of us know that the task of doing it is not for just a few people.
“We should look at the manifesto of politicians and pick the ones that will deliver.
