Politicians in Kwara have been warned not to sneak in fraudulent electoral materials before, during and after the 2015 elections.
The State Commissioner of Police, Salihu Garba, who issued the warning, said that anyone caught in the act would be dealt with according to the law.
At a meeting of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security in Ilorin, the state capital, Mr Garba explained that security officials in the state were not politicians and would not condone excesses by politicians.
The Police Chief noted that care must be taken to ensure that electioneering campaigns for the 2015 elections are conducted peacefully and in line with the recommendations of the law.
